Matthew 25:“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who
are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was
thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me
in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
“If your church shuts down tomorrow and
no one is affected but its members, it should have shut down a long time ago.”
It is the vision of this church to pool
its resources to do more than to just meet the monthly budget and stay in
operation. We have been tasked by God to
be the body of Christ. We are the
mechanism that He has chosen to use to positively change the world. It is our
job to reflect the light of God and allow the world to see our good works so
that they may glorify our Father in Heaven.
Our creed is to “Learn of God and to labor for God”. This initiative is one vehicle that God has
given us to labor for His kingdom. The
following three areas are our assignment, and it is up to us to help those not
only in the church, but also those that will never walk into our doors.
Elderly Food Ministry
Task: To provide nutritional assistance to those in our community that are elderly and in need of extra sustenance. This program will ensure that the recipient is given a monthly box of both perishable and non-perishable food items at the beginning of each month free of charge. The food will be delivered to the home of the recipient by a team member of the ministry
Hospital Comfort Ministry
Task: To provide comfort to both those that are hospitalized and those that care for them. The aim is to create care packages which include items such as a travel sized toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, lotion, hand sanitizer, mouthwash, deodorant, tissue and other toiletries. We also want to ensure that snacks are available to those that are caring for their loved ones during their time of hospitalization.
